Mesa, Arizona - Transform 17

Summary:

Crandall Arambula prepared economic analysis and urban planning development scenarios to guide the transformation of a key 27-acre block of City-owned land in Mesa’s downtown. The recommended scenario reflected significant input from community stakeholders including the Historic Preservation Board, surrounding neighborhoods, developers, community leaders, and business owners. Crandall Arambula’s recommended urban planning development concept, economic strategy, and development framework were approved by the City Council to guide the redevelopment of the Property.

The City of Mesa has issued an RFP to qualified developers and is currently in the process of selecting a development team to bring the community’s vision to life. After resting fallow for nearly 30 years, the site will be seeded for development, projected to commence in 2020.
